Sara Freedman is a writer based in Bend, Oregon.

Sara has been writing about food, people and community for 20 years. Her profiles and articles have appeared in Best Places Portland, Bend Magazine, Eugene Magazine, Central Oregon Magazine, and The Source Weekly.

She was a copywriter for a hipster baby clothing company in Portland, for an environmental nonprofit in Seattle and currently works as a copywriter for Oregon State University in Bend.

Sara started writing plays in 2019. Her short plays have been produced in five festivals and she was a finalist in the 2022 Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival One-Act Contest.

Sara has a master’s degree in writing from Portland State University.
